LD.GF_final.blog(620x130)In case you are new to Downtown Cornerstone or Christianity or attending our Good Friday gathering – this quick note is for you.

Good Friday and Easter go together.

Setting aside time to reflect on Good Friday will make your Easter celebration all the richer. Our weekend of reflecting on and rejoicing in Jesus’ great rescue begins on Friday, not merely Sunday, so I want to invite you all to join us at AMC tomorrow night at 6:30pm.

Our Good Friday gatherings are unique and unlike our usual weekly gatherings.

We’ve added some new elements this year to create a fresh experience of the ancient story we’re celebrating. Our team has been working hard on creating a distinct, gospel-centered, worshipful time.

A few things to keep in mind.

First, we are offering free 3-hour parking validation for everyone. Yes, everyone. Yes, free. Hard to beat gathering with Jesus’ people plus free parking downtown on a Friday.

Second, our Cornerstone Kids team will be in full effect. Yes, your kids will be tired after a late night out. Have them sleep in on Saturday or give them an extra nap on Friday beforehand. You won’t regret it.

Third, plan to arrive early, not merely for the sake of navigating downtown crowds but for the sake of your soul. Leverage this gathering for the health of your soul and plan ahead. Arrive early and take some time to pray and read the scriptures. The theater will be open 20 minutes prior to our start time.

Fourth, lastly, let’s be praying for Jesus to save, awaken and reinvigorate souls to the breathtaking reality of his grace and redemption this weekend.

Genuinely looking forward to being with you all this weekend.

Because the tomb is empty,
