Luke, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Luke

We continue our new series in the Gospel of Luke, one of the four eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ words and works. In them we learn of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection to rescue a people of his own from among the nations—even us. These are primary sources which makes them of incomparable worth. Today, we meet Mary, a godly young teen through whom God plans to bring the Son of God, and show the world that with Him all things are possible.

You Can Be Certain

Luke, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Luke

We begin a new series in the Gospel of Luke. Luke is one of the four NT Gospel accounts (with Matthew, Mark, and John) of Jesus’ words and works. These are primary sources making them of incomparable worth. In them we learn of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection to rescue a people of his own from among the nations. There are no books like these books. In our passage today, 1:1-4, Luke reveals his goal is to give us “certainty concerning the things we’ve been taught.”

Live Wholly For The Lord, Together

1 Thessalonians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

1 Thessalonians

We conclude our series in 1 Thessalonians. This is a warm, heartfelt, urgent letter written by the Apostle Paul, and his co-laborers, to a baby church they planted but were quickly forced to leave. It’s filled with loving gospel reminders, instruction on basic discipleship, and teaching on Jesus’ inevitable return. While written long ago, it feels just as relevant today in Seattle—a city much like Thessalonica.

Waiting For His Son Whom He Raised

1 Thessalonians, Good Friday & Easter, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

1 Thessalonians

On Good Friday we remembered Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross. Today, on Easter, we celebrate Jesus’ climactic victory over the grave through his resurrection. In Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, he draws a line from Jesus’ resurrection to his return. He argues that the reality of the former guarantees the reality of the latter. But, did Jesus rise? How do we know? Can we know?
