The Battle of Restoration

Joshua, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Luke Davis

Joshua

We continue our series in Joshua, which details God’s faithfulness to his promises, as he brings Israel into their inheritance in the land of Canaan. Joshua and the people of Israel are coming out of their first reckoning with sin and failure. How will God respond? Will the people continue to trust in their Lord? We will look at the roles God’s grace, holiness, and our faith have in restoration.

The Way Through

Joshua, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Luke Davis

Joshua

We continue our series in Joshua, which details God’s faithfulness to his promises, as he brings Israel into their inheritance in the land of Canaan. In our passage the people of God find themselves at the border of the promised land facing an intimidating barrier. The manner in which God makes a way highlights His trustworthiness, the people’s faith, and points to the true and better deliverance through Jesus.

Abandoned to Hope

Media, Psalms: Singing in the Dark, Sermons | by Pastor Luke Davis

Psalms: Singing in the Dark
We conclude our series in the Psalms called Singing in the Dark in which we’re focusing on five psalms of David when he was in trouble and distress. Its purpose is to help us learn what it means to look to God to protect us, lead us, and deliver us, in His steadfast love and faithfulness. Today, we look at Psalm 60, where David teaches the people of Israel how to engage with God when He has apparently rejected them.

God Our Refuge

Media, Sermons, The Living Word 2022 | by Pastor Luke Davis

The Living Word 2022

Today is the fourth of five fall sermons in a series we are calling The Living Word, based on Hebrews 4:12, in which God’s Word is described as “living and active.” His Word is alive and changes lives. To demonstrate this, we asked five pastors and leaders to share a passage the Lord has been using in their lives to convict, comfort and/or challenge them. Our hope is to show the living nature of God’s word today and, in turn, be moved to study it, trust it, and immerse out lives in it. Today, we consider what it means to rest upon our mighty rock, in God our refuge.

Blessed Are Those Who Believe

Media, Sermons, Sightings of Jesus | by Pastor Luke Davis

Sightings of Jesus

We conclude our sermon series called Sightings of Jesus where we look at the seven signs in the Gospel of John. Each of the signs communicates different facets of Jesus’ glory (John 2:11), and John shares them with us that we may believe and have life in his name (John 20:30-31). Now, along with Thomas, we are called to face these signs and respond to Jesus’ command, “Do not disbelieve, but believe.”

Pray For One Another

Media, One Another'ing, Sermons | by Pastor Luke Davis

One Another'ing

We continue in our One Another’ing sermon series, looking at the countercultural character of Jesus’ church, through the 50+ “one another” commandments. We are empowered by the gospel to love one another, to serve, to encourage, to forgive, to disciple, to pray, to show hospitality to one another, and much more. Today, we will be reveling in God’s gift of prayer to His church; what it is, why it’s essential, learning a model for prayer, and receiving practical steps to pray for one another.

Walking with God in Hope

Media, Psalms: Walking With God, Sermons | by Pastor Luke Davis

Psalms: Walking With God

We continue in our series of sermons on the Psalms that will run in parallel to our series on Romans. Its purpose is to help us learn from the psalmists what it means to faithfully walk with God through the ups-and-downs of life in a world marred by sin. Today, in Psalm 71 we will consider what a life long-lived in the faith looks like and how it is marked by indomitable hope.
