Mark is also the president of 9Marks, a ministry that exists to promote healthy churches. Today, Mark will discuss what it means to use the Lord’s name in vain in Deuteronomy 5:11 and how we as Christians are called to be ambassadors for Christ in our words and actions during our daily lives.

Today, we end on the Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector found in Luke 18:9-14. This parable is a beautiful, yet shocking, picture of the upside-down nature of the kingdom of God. It confronts us with the all-important question, “How do I know where I stand with God?” and is a fitting conclusion to our series.

It’s a beautiful story, but its not merely a story. Ultimately, this parable is a life-changing and soul-thrilling window into God’s compassion for lost sinners—like you and I.
