The Fiery Furnace

Daniel, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Daniel

We continue our series in the Old Testament book of Daniel. It’s a famous story filled with memorable characters, proud kings, political intrigue, pressures to compromise, impossible odds, miraculous rescues, and symbolic visions of the future. But, ultimately, Daniel is about life in an unbelieving land, far from home, with your faith under pressure. In it, Daniel reassures God’s people that, despite appearances to the contrary, God is in control and faithfully at work.

Today, in 16:25-27, Paul bursts into a fitting doxology (praise of God) that not only summarizes the main themes of his letter but sets our hearts aflame in worship.

We Have Seen His Glory

Media, Sermons, Sightings of Jesus | by Pastor Marco Ribeiro

Sightings of Jesus
We begin a new series called Sightings of Jesus where we look at the seven signs in the Gospel of John. Each of the signs communicates different facets of Jesus’ glory (John 2:11), and John shares them with us that we may believe and have life in his name (John 20:30-31). We’ll introduce the series, think about what signs are and what they do, and consider the author of these signs–what he did, and why.

One Another'ing

Today, we conclude our One Another’ing sermon series, which looks at the countercultural character of Jesus’ church, through the 50+ “one another” commandments. We are empowered by the gospel to love one another, to serve, to encourage, to forgive, to disciple, to pray, to show hospitality to one another, and much more. Today, we’ll look at Paul’s commands to rejoice and live in light of Jesus’ resurrection, as his new-creation people.
