Walking with God in Praise to Him

Media, Psalms: Walking With God, Sermons | by Pastor Russ Collins

Psalms: Walking With God

We conclude our series in the Psalms that has run parallel to our series in Romans. Its purpose is to help us learn from the psalmists what it means to faithfully walk with God through the ups-and-downs of life in a world marred by sin. Today, in Psalm 150, we learn about walking with God in praise to him. This psalm answers some questions about praise and will, hopefully, stir our hearts to grow in our praise to God, both individually and collectively.

Gentiles Are Now Part of True Israel

Media, Romans, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Romans

We continue our study of the most influential, life-changing, worldview-shaping letter ever written: Romans. It is a timeless, divinely-inspired masterpiece on the joy-filled-life-as-it-should-be freedom found in Jesus. Today, as we wrap-up Romans 9, the Apostle Paul reveals in verses 24-33 that now, in Jesus, Gentiles (lit. ‘the nations’) are included among God’s people, along with a believing remnant of the Jews. Jesus is the mighty foundation stone laid by God—whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.

How God Makes Known the Riches of His Glory to Vessels of Mercy

Media, Romans, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Romans

We continue our study of the most influential, life-changing, worldview-shaping letter ever written: Romans. It is a timeless, divinely-inspired masterpiece on the joy-filled-life-as-it-should-be freedom found in Jesus. Today we return to Romans 9, after a six-week hiatus. The Apostle Paul’s big idea in Romans 9:19-24 is that God is absolutely sovereign and has chosen to make known the riches of his glory to his people in a sobering, breath-taking manner.

God’s Story and the Nations

, Media, New Year Essentials 2021, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

We conclude a set of annual sermons we refer to as our new year essentials. These sermons address subjects to which we must repeatedly return for the glory of God and the transformation of lives. These are not, of course, the same sermons. Rather, they are different sermons, taking different angles, on issues we need to come back to again-and-again. Today, we will consider God’s unfolding story among the nations—and our role in it.

Why Preaching? (And How To Receive God’s Word)

, Media, New Year Essentials 2021, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

We begin a set of annual sermons we refer to as our new year essentials. These sermons address subjects and important themes that we must repeatedly return to for the glory of God and the transformation of our inner and outer lives. We begin our series by considering the significance of preaching and how best to receive God’s preached Word.

Seeing God Clearly

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Craig Sturm

Other Sermons
We unpack one of the most simple, yet profound statements in all of the Bible—Jesus’ call to purity of heart and the subsequent promise of seeing God in Matthew 5:8. What does it mean to “see God”? What does it mean to be “pure in heart”? How does that impact how we understand our life, the genuineness of our faith, and the single-mindedness of our hearts? These are worthy questions to ponder as we enter into a new year!

The Glory of Jesus’ Incarnation

Christmas, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Christmas

Merry Christmas! Christmas, from Christ-mass, marks the arrival of Jesus the Christ, the God-Man, who came to seek and save the lost (Lk. 19:10). While the stories surrounding his arrival are commonplace, He is not common. There is no one like him, which is why the Apostle Paul described his own ministry as one of proclaiming the “unsearchable riches of Christ” (Eph. 3:8). This Christmas Eve, we consider just one of those riches—the glory of Jesus’ incarnation.
