The Gospel Of God

Media, Romans, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Romans

We continue our study of the greatest letter ever written the letter of Paul to the Romans or, more simply, Romans. It is a timeless, divinely-inspired masterpiece on the joy-filled freedom found in Jesus. Last week we began with an overview via Romans 1:1. Today we dig into Paul’s opening in 1:1-7. As he begins, Paul carefully foreshadows the contents of his letter: God sent his long- promised Son, for the sake of his people, and the glory of his name, among all the nations. This is news that we too must hear – and – heed for our eternal good.

The Letter of Paul to the Romans

Media, Romans, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Romans

We begin a great adventure through the greatest letter ever written —the letter of Paul to the Romans. Or, as you probably know it, Romans. It is a timeless, divinely-inspired masterpiece on the freedom that is found in Jesus Christ. It is comprised of sixteen dense chapters of beautiful, life-changing, soul-thrilling truth about God—and about us. God has used Romans in mighty ways throughout the history of his church. Let’s pray that he would do the same among us. Today we get our bearings with an overview of the letter via Romans 1:1.

Redirected Joy

Media, Sermons, The Living Word 2019 | by John M.

The Living Word 2019

Today is the second of five fall sermons in a series we are calling The Living Word, based on Hebrews 4:12, in which God’s Word is described as ”living and active.” His Word is alive and changes lives. To demonstrate this we asked five pastors, and leaders, to share a passage the Lord has been using in their lives to convict, comfort and/or challenge them. Our hope is to show the living nature of God’s word today and, in turn, be moved to study it, trust it, and immerse our lives in it. Today, John M. unpacks Jesus’ words to us from Luke 10:17-24.

The Role of Remembering

Esther, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Esther

Today we conclude our series through the Old Testament book of Esther. This is the (true) story about the potential extinction of the Jews during the Persian empire, and God’s hidden hand through an unlikely heroine. Esther has all the ingredients of a great story: complex characters, an evil villain, perilous danger, suspense, irony, surprise reversals, humor and a happy ending. But, even more important than its literary value, are its insights into how to find our way amidst our pluralistic world today—a world that is surprisingly a lot like Esther’s.
