Sons of Freedom

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Galatians

After Paul left Galatia, men arrived who began to challenge Paul's authority and attempted to add to his message and the Gospel. Today, in Galatians 4:12-31, Paul urges us to return to the gospel of grace by using the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar as a powerful, and important, illustration of where true freedom is found.

From Slaves to Sons

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Craig Sturm

Galatians

Today, in Galatians 4:1-11, Paul paints a beautiful picture of what it means for the follower of Jesus to be adopted from “slave” to “son” by the sovereign grace and mercy of God the Father, through the glorious redeeming and adopting work of Jesus the Son.

God’s Promise Is A Promise

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Galatians

Today, in Galatians 3:15-29, Paul refutes the idea that we are made right with God through our obedience by demonstrating the supremacy of God’s promise to Abraham. It’s a dense, tightly-argued passage, that powerfully displays the necessity of grace and the all-sufficiency of Jesus.

Our Standing With God

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Galatians

Today in Galatians 3:1-14, Paul invites us to consider how we are made right with God and the implications that has in our every day lives. How do we know where we stand with God? What is our assurance? How do we know how God views us and feels about us right now? Can we?

A Truth Worth Fighting For

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Craig Sturm

Galatians

In Galatians 2:11-21 we come to Paul's introduction of a phrase he will use frequently as a sort of “gospel shorthand” – justification by faith. In this passage Paul describes a confrontation with Peter. Peter was acting out of the fear of man rather than the truth of the gospel, and undermining the freedom of the gospel message. Paul opposes Peter's actions and reminds us that justification is God's act of unearned favor toward us in Christ, and is obtained only through faith in Christ.

The Freedom We Have In Christ

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Galatians

We are on the front end of a new study through the Apostle Paul's letter to the church of Galatia. Today, in Galatians 2:1-10, we get an important clue as to why Paul is so fired up as he defends the Gospel. This portion of Paul's letter defends the freedom we have when we are in Christ and lovingly corrects a movement within the local church of Galatia.

Where Did The Gospel Come From?

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Galatians

Last week we began a new study through the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Galatians. These were young churches, filled with young Christians – much like our own – who were learning what it meant to follow Jesus. Last week we did a basic overview of the letter, and its primary themes. Today, in Galatians 1:10-24, Paul defends his authority and his gospel as an Apostle of Jesus Christ by sharing his own story of how Jesus met him.

The Apostolic Gospel

Galatians, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Galatians

Today we begin a study through the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians. The churches and Christians of Galatia were young, and still learning what it meant to follow Jesus. Galatians is Paul's response to men who had begun to challenge Paul and change the message of the Gospel in the church. Still relevant to our church today, this letter is filled with assurance of the Gospel message and the joy and freedom found there.

One of the most profound questions we face in life is, “What is a human being?” This question lies at the heart of some of the most significant and controversial issues of our day – and the implications are huge. So, over the course of this series we’re laying out a biblical anthropology to explore what it means to be human and how that impacts our understanding of relationships, gender and sexuality. Fortunately, the Bible is not silent on these issues. Today, we look at the sanctity of human life and our role in protecting the most vulnerable among us.

Raising Image Bearers: Practices

, Media, On Being Human, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

On Being Human

Today, we look at what it means to be human as we raise image bearers and some practical methods for doing so. Ephesians 4:32; Ephesians 5:2, 25; 2 Corinthians 8:7, 9; and Romans 15:7 pertain to concepts of godly parenting: to raise children who fear God and cultivate hearts that trust and love their King. Parenting is an overflow of the heart, and God must be our foundation, example, and goal as our children are formed through our influence on their life.
