Other Sermons
On this, the final day, the last Sunday of 2017, we want come together to re-orient our view of time to God and his purposes in our lives. The truth of Ephesians 5:15-18 provides a simple framework for living a life that is wisely, joyfully, abandoned to God and His priorities.

An Undivided Heart For God

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Randy Lundy

Other Sermons

We all experience the tension of priorities. School, family, career, hobbies, relationships – so many things to balance and juggle. And where does God actually fit into all this? The affections of our heart dictate the priorities of our lives and the hope of our soul. We dig into the life of David this morning to answer the primary question – how can we begin to cultivate undivided hearts for God? The answer is in surrender.

The Good Shepherd

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Other Sermons
This morning we are (unexpectedly) pausing our study through the Sermon on the Mount to consider one of the most personal images Jesus uses to describe how he relates to his people – as the good shepherd. What image comes to mind when you think of Jesus? Maybe, king? Or, savior? Or, friend? What about shepherd? This image has comforted millions of Jesus’ people for over 2,000 years. There is more being communicated here than a mere quaint ancient near east metaphor.

The Wonder of the Word

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Other Sermons
The Bible: What is it? Why do we need it? To answer that we’re going to look at what is likely the most famous verse about the Bible in the Bible. This is no easy task as our familiarity with the Bible often threatens to drown out the awe it would otherwise evoke. Simply speaking, there is no book like this book. It has changed more lives, in more places, in more ways, over more time, than anything or anyone else.

A Rejoicing Life: Old Hope, New Year

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Luke Davis

Other Sermons
A new year holds unknown possibilities. When you cast your thoughts forward, how does your heart respond? Apprehension, ambition, fear, hopeful expectation? Our text this morning is an inflection point calling us to look back at the amazing salvation Jesus has secured and the life-transforming hope of being placed in a position of indomitable grace. Certain hope has the effect of reorienting our boasting and giving us a new vision for even the darkest of times.

A Table for Many

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Craig Sturm

Other Sermons
We live in the most connected time in history, yet people feel more isolated and disconnected than ever. This morning we will think through this disconnect and specifically dig into how God, through the redeeming work of Jesus, has called his sons and daughters into a new family – the beauty and value of which can only be fully appreciated and experienced as we are regularly connected in meaningful relationships in which we can know and be known.

An Invitation to Satisfaction

Media, Other Sermons | by Pierce Martin

Other Sermons
This morning we look at what it means to be satisfied. Christianity is about finding our soul's deepest satisfaction in the God who ardently desires to give it to us in Him. Isaiah 55:1-3 expresses God's call to His people to leave that which does not fill for Him who alone satisfies. In Christ God offers us something infinitely better than our own striving- A real and lasting relationship with Him.

God’s Prodigal Love

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor David Parker

Other Sermons
Imagine God thinking about you. If I asked you what you think God’s feels about you when you come to mind, what would you say? How we answer that question has deep implications for the way we view His love and our relationship with Him. Each of us long to be loved and to experience the deep love of another, yet we all know there’s things that get in the way of being deeply loved and loving others. What we’re going to unpack today out of Luke 15 is how the radical love God has for us, reorients our hearts, emotions, and lives towards living out of our true selves, anchored in all that God is for us in Jesus Christ.

Thankfulness: The Heart of Worship

Media, Other Sermons | by Pastor Craig Sturm

Other Sermons

God has hard wired us to be grateful people. Yet, by nature, we lean toward complaining, grumbling, and self-absorption. That pull is so strong that we need something outside ourselves to fight against it. Today, we will unpack Psalm 69:29-34 to find God's perspective on thankfulness, grumbling, and complaining.

The Most Mature Thing We Do

Media, Other Sermons | by Bill Clem

Other Sermons
How do we determine maturity? What does it mean to be mature? Is maturity measured by our most mature act or thought? Or, is maturity measured by the most mature thing we continue to do? Or, is maturity just the matter of doing more mature things than immature things? Or, is maturity just a matter of growing older? What exactly are we aiming for? Today the apostle John, in 1 John 2:12-14, invites us to envision maturity as a process … one that might surprise you.
