Redirected Joy

Media, Sermons, The Living Word 2019 | by John M.

The Living Word 2019

Today is the second of five fall sermons in a series we are calling The Living Word, based on Hebrews 4:12, in which God’s Word is described as ”living and active.” His Word is alive and changes lives. To demonstrate this we asked five pastors, and leaders, to share a passage the Lord has been using in their lives to convict, comfort and/or challenge them. Our hope is to show the living nature of God’s word today and, in turn, be moved to study it, trust it, and immerse our lives in it. Today, John M. unpacks Jesus’ words to us from Luke 10:17-24.

So, in this five-week series, we’re considering foundational biblical principles for a healthy, Jesus-treasuring, people-loving, Spirit-empowered, life-transforming local church. Filthy Clothes, Prophetic Promises, and the Resurrection

Good Friday & Easter, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

On Good Friday we gathered to remember Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross. Today, on Easter, we gather to rejoice in Jesus’ climactic victory over the grave (and all that points to) through his resurrection. To that end, we will sing, celebrate baptisms, and open up Zechariah 3 where we have a vision of filthy clothes and prophetic promises that offer hope the world cannot give us, nor take away. He is risen!

The Wonder of Jesus’ Local Church

, Media, New Year Essentials 2019, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

New Year Essentials 2019

Today we are considering the role of the local church in God’s unfolding story. What is the point of the local church? Is there a point? Wrestling with these questions is, if you will, essential. The local church is God’s Plan A for the advancement of his purposes in the world and in our lives. If we want to participate in the fullness of his purposes, we must embrace his chosen vehicle for advancing them.

Rebooting Your Prayer Life

, Media, New Year Essentials 2019, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

New Year Essentials 2019

This morning we continue our new year essentials sermon series. This four-week series addresses important themes we must repeatedly return to for the glory of God, the good of others, and our ongoing transformation. Today we will consider how to reboot our prayer life at the start of a new year. We know prayer is important, but there is a lot that wars against us to keep us from praying. So, how do we move forward? That’s what today is all about.
