The Harvest Is Plentiful

Luke, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Luke

This morning we continue our series in the Gospel of Luke, one of four eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ words and works. In them we learn of his life, death, and resurrection to rescue a people of his own from among the nations- even us. Today, in 10:1-16, Jesus reveals that when it comes to his unfolding mission, the harvest is ripe. Therefore, God sends us as prayer-filled harvesters amidst a hostile world- and the stakes couldn’t be greater.

Redirected Joy

Media, Sermons, The Living Word 2019 | by John M.

The Living Word 2019

Today is the second of five fall sermons in a series we are calling The Living Word, based on Hebrews 4:12, in which God’s Word is described as ”living and active.” His Word is alive and changes lives. To demonstrate this we asked five pastors, and leaders, to share a passage the Lord has been using in their lives to convict, comfort and/or challenge them. Our hope is to show the living nature of God’s word today and, in turn, be moved to study it, trust it, and immerse our lives in it. Today, John M. unpacks Jesus’ words to us from Luke 10:17-24.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Media, Parables of Jesus: Windows into Reality, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Parables of Jesus: Windows into Reality

Today, we reach the Parable of the Good Samaritan, found in Luke 10:25-37. This is one of Jesus’ best known and most loved parables but it may also be one of his most misunderstood. As we’ll see, this is not ultimately a story about showing grace to those in need, but a story that highlights our need for grace.
